The Spooky House by cindy tevis

Walk up to a spooky house

Being quiet as a mouse

Feel the hair rise on your back

As you walk into the black

You run and try to open the door

But it won't open anymore

You try the window, but it's stuck tight

You know you won't survive the night

All you wanted was a treat

Your mortal fate is what you meet

If you make it through this fright

You'll stick with houses that have a light.
